CC STUDIO for children, young people & adults
Enjoy interesting conversations and inspiring play in Copenhagen Contemporary’s exhibitions
Remember: Admission for children and young people under the age of 18 is free.
CC STUDIO is Copenhagen Contemporary’s new learning space for children, young people and their families.
CC STUDIO offers activities and facilities in which the core element is collaborative experiences.
Copenhagen Contemporary showcases large installation art created by the international stars of contemporary art. This is art that you can step into, touch and use in ways that activate body, eye and mind – irrespective of age.
CC STUDIO can be explored in the current exhibitions on your own or experienced on a tour hosted by CC’s art experts.
In Hall 1 and 2 SUPERFLEX’s total installation One Two Three Swing! invites you to play, talk and reflect with its collective swings and a large mirrored pendulum swinging above a thick, soft carpet. In Hall 3 Doug Aitken’s compelling video work SONG 1, playing on a suspended circular screen, is structured around the well-known pop song ‘I Only Have Eyes for You’.
ON YOUR OWN
Activity cards are placed on the exhibition walls with questions and tasks designed for all age groups. All tasks are based on Copenhagen Contemporary’s current exhibitions.
Go explore and find inspiration in the cards for activities, collaboration and reflection. They invite our audiences to play, listen, see, draw, write, find, sense, experience, reflect, choose, swing and dance in and around a video installation. The activities make use of the artworks, the galleries and personal perceptions and experiences.
TOURS FOR CHILDREN
Every Sunday at 15.00 we invite children and their grown-ups to join a special guided tour of our exhibitions. The tour is in English, it is about 30 minutes and is free with a valid admission ticket. As we go along we explore art together through dialogue, play and activities.
Recommended age: 4-12 years
