FILM SCREENING AND TALK WITH AARON DESSNER FROM THE NATIONAL
Spend your Saturday in the company of The National. Watch them perform on the big screen, then join us as guitarist Aaron Dessner talks about playing the same song for six hours on end.
In 2013 the Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson arranged a six-hour performance, A Lot of Sorrow, featuring the indie rock band The National. In this performance the band played their song Sorrow live – over and over again.
Now, you can experience the video installation created out of that performance, witnessing The National’s musical tour de force at a six-hour screening of the concert. Come and join[RL1] the high-stamina band for as long as you like.
After the screening, Aaron Dessner from The National will speak about the intense concert experience, The National’s work in general and the upcoming festival HAVEN on Refshaleøen.
Saturday 4 February 2017
Film screening 11.30-17.30. Conversation with Aaron Dessner 18.00–19.30.
